Coca-Cola Cambodia has thrown its weight behind the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games, signing a deal to be the official sparkling drinks sponsor.
On April 20, the beverage company signed an official agreement with Cambodia SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) and Sportsmazing Co., Ltd, pledging to be the premium sponsor for the largest regional sporting event.
Presiding over the signing ceremony was Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of CAMSOC, Steven Path, CEO at Sportsmazing, and Coca-Cola Cambodia CEO Joseph Ho.
“This is not only about sports, but about Cambodian national pride to reach the regional level of sports and hospitality, facility, and societal development and we’re excited that Cambodia will be the official host country for the 32nd SEA Games,” said Ho.
“At Coca-Cola Cambodia, we are proud to be part of this historic occasion as a partner, a sponsor, and a believer. We believe in the magic of the nation.”

The 32nd SEA Games takes place from May 5 to 17 and the 12th ASEAN Para Games runs from June 3 to 9, both under the tagline, ‘Sports: Live in Peace’. An estimated 10,000 athletes and coaches are expected to take part.
At the signing ceremony, Chamroeun said, “The 32nd SEA Games are indeed very special for all of us in Cambodia as the host for the first time ever, and for all the participating countries as well. We are delighted that Coca-Cola Cambodia is pledging their support.”
He added that athletes from attending countries are preparing for the Games, with the first teams expected to land in Cambodia within the next week.
Sportsmazing’s Path, who brokered the agreement with Coca-Cola Cambodia, added, “We are delighted to have such a prestigious household name on board. We thank Coca-Cola Cambodia for their contribution and support.”
Coca-Cola Cambodia has previously pledged strong support for sporting events in Cambodia. It also sponsored Beyond the Games, amplifying the national pride message through activities, including recently breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest display of origami hearts.
In 2022, Coca-Cola Cambodia brought the FIFA World Cup Trophy to Cambodia for the first time under the ‘Believing is Magic’ campaign, to the delight of local football fans.
Coca-Cola also supported the SEA Games in 1989 and 2002, when it was an official SEA Games sponsor. The company also supported Indonesia’s hosting of the SEA Games in 2011, and the Philippines in 2019.
In addition, Coca-Cola is the longest-standing partner of the Olympic Games, having been a sponsor of the iconic event since 1928.
“As a newcomer to Cambodia who arrived earlier in the year, I can already feel the pride and determination around this event,” added Ho. “I would like to congratulate Cambodia and wish the organizers, athletes, and the millions at home well.”
“I am sure that together we can make these games truly historic. We at Coca-Cola Cambodia look forward to refreshing and energizing all involved,” he added.
