ACLEDA Honored as Third Biggest Corporate Taxpayer of 2022

The first commercial bank listed on the country’s stock exchange market CSX, ACLEDA Bank, has been honored with Gold Status corporate taxpayer and third largest corporate taxpayer for 2022.

In a letter dated March 1 to ACLEDA Bank Plc, Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked the bank for its fulfillment of tax obligations towards the country to become the corporate taxpayer with Gold Status and the third largest taxpayer in 2022.

“Your enterprise’s fulfillment of tax obligation represents an indispensable contribution of the private sector, which is a key partner of the state and a catalyst for Cambodia’s national development and socio-economic growth,” wrote the Prime Minister.

According to the General Taxation Department (GDT), the top 10 corporate taxpayers for 2022 include Heineken Cambodia, ABA Bank, ACLEDA Bank, PRASAC Microfinance Institution, Smart Axiata, Viettel Cambodia, Canadia Bank, Cambrew Ltd., Electricity du Cambodge (EDC), and Sathapana Bank.

ACLEDA Bank Plc. is one of Cambodia’s oldest and largest banks. It has four subsidiaries: ACLEDA Institute of Business, ACLEDA Securities Plc., ACLEDA Bank Lao Ltd., and ACLEDA MFI Myanmar Co., Ltd, as well as representative offices in Myanmar.
