ACLEDA Bank said on Tuesday that its mobile app is fully functional after an update to the core banking system completed overnight.
On Tuesday morning, In Channy, ACLEDA Bank’s president and group managing director, told Kiripost that after more than 35 hours, an upgrade of the core banking system has been fully installed.
“It's a technical term used in the system, namely AF. DATES, which are needed to fix it, and we fixed it last night using HotFix. We did it successfully last night, please try to use it again now,” Channy said.
He added that upgrading the core banking system does not cause customers to lose money from their account due to records in the system.
“Customers can use everything, do not worry about losing [money] because there is no loss due to the installation of the system. If there is, [it is] the responsibility of ACLEDA Bank,” he added.
According to ACLEDA Bank’ facebook page, this morning the core banking system had upgraded successfully. “All bank services are now working as usual,” a post said.
Teacher, Moeung Srey Sros, 35, told Kiripost that when her app started working in the morning, she was able to use it as normal but her app demanded an update.
“Before, I needed to worry about money I had transferred because I didn't see the notification, but just the process. I feel that it’s a bit slow in the system,” Srey Sros said.
Engineer Phan Kosal, 25, said that he was able to access the mobile app today after it had been offline for a long time. But he also thinks it is slow.
“It is accessible, but so slow sometimes online and sometimes offline. However, I can use it, maybe tomorrow it will be back to being smooth again,” Kosal said.
