CamEd Business School students organized a TEDx event to provide tips to students on how they should pave their paths after high school and what they should plan after university.

The event was held on November 12 at CamEd Business School, and was attended by hundreds of people. The TEDx CamEd Business School event featured talks from students and professionals on a variety of topics, including academic, career choices, environment, and technology.

TEDx events are independently organized events that bring the spirit of TED's mission of "ideas worth spreading" to communities around the world.

This year, after hundreds of thousands of Cambodian high school students finished their grade twelfth exam on November 7, a TEDx event under the theme ‘Way to Wisdom’ was held to provide students with tips on how they should pave their paths after high school and what they should plan after university.

Talking to Kiripost after the event, Suon Sovann Vichea, Executive Producer at TEDx CamEd Business School and a Year 3 Accounting and Finance student, said the organizing team came up with the theme because it is relevant to the target audience of university and high school students.

He said, “We thought the theme is within the context of our main audience because it’s something they would all like to know.”

During the event, eight speakers from various backgrounds, including a fresh high school graduate, undergraduate student, content creator, think tank country director, tax consultant, and entrepreneur shared their experiences about why they chose to study a certain major and do certain jobs.

The organizing team consists of three Year 3 university students who organized the event for the first time. Vichea hopes that through the experience speakers shared during the event, the audience was able to at least get a glimpse into what they would like to do with their lives.

“Even for me, after listening to speakers, it helped me on what I should do with my life,” he said.
