Viettel Cambodia - owners of Metfone - and National Television of Cambodia (TVK) held a cooperation signing ceremony to strengthen the relationship between a leading technology enterprise and a national TV station.
On December 16, Khim Vuthy, General Director of national television station TVK, and Metfone General Director, Cao Manh Duc, met to ink the deal that will see Metfone support TVK with issues related to telecommunications connection, internet, television digitization, and digital transformation.
In addition, TVK will coordinate with Metfone to produce content and programs to broadcast through Metfone's digital channels, as well as support communication and promoting Metfone's products via its channels.
The signing ceremony of cooperation provides an opportunity to tighten the relationship between the technology enterprise and Cambodian national television station, bringing a swathe of benefits to the Kingdom and its citizens.
Metfone has been present in Cambodia since 2006, and started business in 2009. After 16 years of development, it has become Cambodia's largest telecommunications and digital technology company, with nine million mobile subscribers accounting for 50 percent of the market share.
Over the years, Metfone has grown to provide a variety of telecommunications and digital technology services to promote digital life for Cambodians, and help the Kingdom on its journey towards a digital society.
Metfone’s accumulated tax and fee contributions to the state budget are nearly $800 million. It also contributes to society through a raft of sponsorship activities and initiatives to support community development, amounting to more than $117 million. [Partnered Content]
