The Cambodian female basketball team defeated Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia but failed at the semi-finals against the Philippines in the South East Asian Games’ (SEA Games) women’s 3x3 basketball.
On Saturday, the Cambodian female basketball players defeated competitors Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia at the SEA Games’ women’s 3x3 basketball preliminary round at Morodok Techo Stadium.
In the morning session, Cambodia beat their Malaysian counterparts 10-22, to advance to the next round where they met opponents from Singapore.
As a result, Cambodia rose to victory over Singapore with a result of 21-12.
For the final round on May 6, the match result went to Cambodia again to obtain 14 scores, winning over their last opponent Indonesia by one point, scoring 14-13.
However, in today's semi-finals, Cambodia lost to the Philippines’ basketball team at the last minute when the Philippines threw the ball into the basket, gaining one additional point, making the final score 21-20.
