SEA Games Opening and Closing Ceremony Tickets on Sale

Online tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies of the upcoming SEA Games have gone on sale, and promise hours of unmissable culturally-infused entertainment

Tickets to the SEA Games’ opening and closing ceremonies have gone on sale online this week, with the promise to deliver an unforgettable experience for audiences with many amazing performances.

Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee (CAMSOC), said on Tuesday that people can now purchase tickets via the website and through the applications for SEA Games 2023.

He added that the ceremonies will provide a spectacular experience for visitors. “We expect that there will be a lot of support and there will be awesomeness and exclusive performances during the opening ceremony,” Chamroeun told Kiripost.

The official Facebook page for the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games, www.cambodia 2023.com, announced the start of ticket sales on Monday, with two types of seats available: 200,000-riel seats ($50) and 100,000 riels ($25). Tickets can also be bought online at www.sportsmazing.com.

The seating is divided into six zones: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. Zone A, B, C, and G each cost 100,000 riels. While zones D and E cost 200,000 riels.

The SEA Games’ opening ceremony takes place on May 5 at 6.30pm at Morodok Techo National Stadium. spectators must arrive and be seated by 4pm. Anyone arriving after this time will be refused entry.

“The Opening Ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games promises a spectacular performance that will showcase the pride of the Cambodian culture, rich heritage, and history in the region,” the website said.

There will be 2.5 hours of non-stop performances from various cultural aspects, while modern-day performances by Cambodian artists will incorporate the latest innovation. The website said that every patron at the Morodok Stadium will be able to witness the full performances without any obstructing views.

“Patrons will not be disappointed and would be part of history that the Kingdom has waited 64 years for.”

The closing ceremony will take place on May 17, at 6.30pm at Morodok Techo National Stadium. Again, the audience must arrive and be seated by 4pm.

The ticket price for the closing ceremony will be 60,000 riels ($15) for seating in zones A, B, C, and G . Seating in zones D and E costs 120,000 riels ($30).

The Closing Ceremony also promises to be a grand finale that will leave every patron at the Stadium in awe, with 2.5 hours of non-stop performances that will be a tribute to the athletes who have competed in 46 sports and games throughout the duration of the event.

The Closing Ceremony will showcase the rich Cambodian culture and heritage, as well as the history of the region. There will be various cultural performances from different regions of Cambodia that will highlight the diversity of the Kingdom's traditions. Modern-day performances by leading Cambodian artists will also feature.
