Kuwait and Cambodia officials have expressed willingness to enhance cooperation in bilateral trade and investment, especially in areas related to the supply of fuel, highway construction and soft loans.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce did not further elaborate on the meeting between Kem Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State and Mohamad S SH S Alhajri, a newly-appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to Cambodia.
Alhajri also requested to examine the possibility of organizing joint trade fairs and business forums to help increase the volume of bilateral trade and investment, according to the ministry.
Sithan encouraged Kuwaiti investors to seize economic opportunities in Cambodia through the establishment of production and participation in the regional supply chain, in particular, to promote the import of quality and competitive Cambodian products, including agricultural products.
